If the Seattle Times endorsement of Bob Ferguson were a review of a high-school date, the Democratic front-runner would know himself firmly consigned to the friend zone, with no hope of further action.
The editorial board’s unenthusiastic backing of Ferguson reads more like a litany of reasons not to vote for the three-term attorney general. The board finds him fast-and-loose on campaign finance, wrong on charter schools, indolent on public records, and perhaps, most tellingly, notes that he, “can occasionally appear petty, pushy and overly ambitious.”
