During campaign season we frequently write about the aggressive political spending of the state’s public-sector labor unions, who are reliably the biggest political players in Washington State.

When lawmakers passed their $69.8 billion budget for the upcoming biennium in the closing hours of the Legislature’s session on Sunday, all that political money looked like a fabulous investment.
