Going in, this election cycle looked like the most momentous and interesting in years, certainly since 2012 and arguably since 2004. With the offices of governor, attorney general, commissioner of public lands, and insurance commissioner on the ballot, along with some hot races for Congress and a slate of local slugfests for seats in the Legislature, we were promised a good time. And so far, 2024 has delivered. As the hours tick away before the first primary results this evening let’s look at some of the races that really hang in the balance.
