A further autopsy on medical mergers

The Keep Our Care Act, formally Senate Bill 5241, from Bremerton Democrat Emily Randall, would have created a process subjecting health care mergers to deeper scrutiny by the attorney general’s office. It was one of the most contested and complex pieces of policy before the Legislature this year. We noted its demise earlier this month but wanted to bring you a few more details.
